Alfonso Pozio received the PhD in Materials Engineering from the Chemical Engineering Department and the MSc in Chemistry from the Chemistry Department of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

Presently, he is a researcher of the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), in the Technical Unity of Renewable Energy .

Research in this laboratory is focused on the chemistry and the engineering associated with the development of renewable energy. Pozio’s research interests are centred around next generation materials for fuel cell, batteries, photo-catalysis and hydrogen production. Currently his research focuses on enhanced performance titanium dioxide nanotube materials .

Dr. Pozio has collaborated or served as a consultant to various companies including Arcotronics, Chimet, De Nora,  Exergy, Engelhard (now BASF), Erreduegas, Ferrania, FNGenportInnova, Lux Sevenstars and Roen Est.
