Career

Alfonso Pozio received the Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from the Chemical Engineering Department and the M.Sc. in Chemistry from the Chemistry Department of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.

Presently, he is a researcher of the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA).

Research in this laboratory is focused on the chemistry and the engineering associated with the development of renewable energy. Pozio’s research interests are centred around next generation materials for fuel cell, electrolysers, batteries, photo-catalysis and hydrogen production technologies. 

Dr. Pozio has collaborated or served as a consultant to various companies including Arcotronics, Chimet, De Nora,  Exergy, Engelhard (now BASF), Erreduegas, Ferrania, FNGenportInnova, and Roen Est.
